The Granite Island

A recent project completion, this island countertop with sitting bar features a flowing granite riser. Residence in Paso Robles, California.

Chiseled and Leathered

To create contrast in the kitchen, the Andersons decided to both chisel and leather the island, leaving the main countertops with a flat high gloss. Leathered granite is easier to clean, and cozy to the touch.

Cambria Stone Bliss

The popularity of quartz products has been married with a very natural look in the Cambria Stone products. Free of a boring speckled pattern, Cambria Stone is able to mimic natures beauty, and even boasts a little mica sparkle for effect.

Cambria Stone Kitchen

The up-and-coming popular engineered stone, Cambria Stone, is a perfect fit for this comfortable and fuctional Orcutt kitchen. Cambria makes slabs that are very natural looking, as well as anti-microbial, and they never need to be sealed.

Blanco Undermount Sink

Composite sinks by Blanco, as well as other sink manufacturers, are designed using granite and other materials to form a hardy sink surface in a range of fun colors. These colors can contrast the countertops, as seen here in this kitchen.

Contrasting Island and Countertops

This Shell Beach home contrasts a Blue Bahia granite island against white engineered stone countertops. Natural Stone Source carries 4 sources of engineered stone, and uses the only local fabricator authorized for Caesarstone fabrication.

The Full Backsplash

In such a well lit kitchen, with a calmly hued granite such as Sierra Granada, a full backsplash makes a continuous reach of the stone's pattern without being overwhelming. Residence in Paso Robles, California.

Stainless Steel Sink

Nestled in the hills between Paso Robles and Creston, CA, a prestigious winery owner has finished remodeling and has allowed us a peek into the gorgeous home. Design and cabinetry by Kitchen and Bathworks, granite by Natural Stone Source.

Contrasting Island

This Orcutt home contrasts Bordeuax granite on the main countertops against a serene Taj Mahal Quartzite on the island. Adding to the contrast, the color of the main cabinetry is white, while the island is a playful blue.

Durable Quartzite Counters

This Avila Beach bungalow house features Madre Perola quartzite. The island is a lovely textured leathered slab, while the main countertops are polished in the same material. Residence in Avila Beach, California.

A Kitchen Dream Come True

No kitchen is too big or too small to feature gorgeous granite countertops. This "U" shaped kitchen was fabricated out of a single slab of Verde Bellagio, including a 4" backsplash.

Leathered Surfaces

Leathering the surface of a granite slab takes the shine off and gives the stone a fuzzy, comfortable feel. Sometimes thought to be hard to clean, leathered stone is actually easier to wipe down than it's smoother counterparts.

Elegant Black Granite

When the light of a kitchen is plentiful, nothing is more elegant than black countertops. Shown here from Santa Maria, California, Absolute Black granite was used to update this remodel.

Backsplash to the Ceiling

Running this travertine subway style backsplash to the ceiling creates a delight for the eye, and the neutral cream colors easily tie in to the Crema Bordeaux granite countertops.

Terra Nova Granite

In Grover Beach, California, this kitchen received its first welcome update in 30 years with beautiful Terra Nova granite.

Copper and Bordeaux

Although they are only one inch by one inch, the shine of the copper accents in the background still pick up the warmth of the cabinets, as well as the bordeuax in the Crema Bordeaux granite.

Kitchen Islands

Kitchen islands are a fabulous place for company and family to hang out while the chef creates magic in the kitchen.

Quartzite Passthrough

This is the other view of the Abrolious Green passthrough, opening onto the living room for entertaining ease.

Quartz Countertops

Engineered stone, commonly thought of as "quartz", is a popular countertop material for many reasons. The slab colors are consistent and tame, the material is often extra durable, and engineered granite never needs to be re-sealed.
